Real Ghost Stories From Waverly Hills Sanatorium

The Waverly Hills Sanatorium was originally a hospital in the year 1910 which housed patients who had tuberculosis. The hospital would stay open until the early 1980’s when the sanatorium closed its doors for good due to mistreatment of patients. It has been said that over 60,000 patients have passed away here. Several witnesses have experienced real ghost stories from the dark halls of Waverly Hills.

One of the most famous ghosts who has haunted the hospital has been a young boy who has been dubbed simply, Timmy or even Bobby to others. His hazy apparition has been caught on film. It is been said that this young boy enjoys playing games with visitors. People have witnessed a rubber ball moving without any explanation. Also a young girl named Mary, has been seen on the third level of the hospital playing with a ball.

There have also been numerous reports of what they call shadow people. Shadow people are essentially shadows that appear in the form of people. These ghosts have been seen in windows and frequent the roof. This roof was used at onetime as a play area for children. Some have also claimed to see these ghosts distinctly pass through hallways.

Still other real ghost stories have included a male who has been seen in a coat that is long and white. It is believed he is a doctor of some sort which would make sense since this once was a hospital. People have noticed him walking around, going about his business on what is the fourth level.

A woman who appears to be old has been noticed towards the entrance of the hospital. The woman’s legs along with her hands are in shackles. People have heard her desperate pleas and have seen her running.

These are just some of the real ghost stories that have come from people who have visited the Waverly Hill Sanatorium and I am sure they won’t be the last.
