Storing Tips For Halloween Decorations

If you have loads of Halloween decorations and aren’t storing them properly, I’m here to help you out. I want to give you a few tips on how to store those Halloween decorations.

Of course the proper way to store those Halloween decorations is to have them in their original packaging. This would be the most ideal situation and it helps to preserve them the longest. Usually you will find that the carton that they came in, is suited to fit in small places such as your garage or even your attic.

If you do not want to keep those Halloween decorations in their original packaging, you can wrap them in packing paper. This will act as a barrier so it won’t come into contact with anything else you don’t want it to.

Let’s say you would like to store them in a cardboard box of some kind. This is quite fine but remember to write on the box, exactly what it contains so you do not forget when you are hunting for those Halloween decorations the following year.

You also have the option of storing them in clear containers which might be your best bet. They will close securely and you can always see what has been placed inside of it.

If your Halloween decorations are larger than others, then you can always hang them up in the garage or even a shed. It will take up a small space and will be easy to locate later on. Remember though, if you are worried about preserving it, you might want to wrap it in packing paper first before hanging.

If your Halloween decorations include candles, think where you will be storing them. Make sure it is in a proper ventilated area. They could melt so be careful and use reasonable caution beforehand.

Finally, if any decorations include costumes, take extra care with them. It might be a smart idea to wash them every two months or so. Also keep in mind about insects and such like moths. You might want to add moth balls in order to avoid any destruction to them.
