Haunted Vegas Tour Part One

When you hear someone say, Las Vegas, what immediately comes to your mind? I don’t know about you but several images pop into my head. Bright glittering lights, twenty-four hour casinos, all you can eat buffets and of course an endless array of shows suited for anyone’s taste. What if I told you Las Vegas had much more to offer? Are you in for a fright or two? I will be taking you on a haunted Vegas tour for the next few articles. You won’t even have to leave your house to see what else Las Vegas has to offer. So sit tight, grab some popcorn and be sure to turn down the lights.

My first stop on our haunted Vegas tour is the Nellis Air Force Base which is located less than 10 miles from Las Vegas. Strange paranormal activity has been witnessed here by the base’s personnel as well as mechanics. A ghost that is gray in color has been seen. Witnesses have also observed what appears to be some sort of light that is shaped like a ball that is hovering in the air. These odd occurrences have been spotted in three different places. Footsteps that can not be accounted for have also been heard here.

The haunted Vegas tour continues with Bally‘s Hotel and Casino that is located on Las Vegas Boulevard. In 1980, Bally’s was the site of a horrific fire that killed close to 100 people. The cause was due to wiring that was faulty. Not surprisingly it has been said that the people who perished in the fire are still walking the halls of Bally’s. Observers have stated seeing ghostlike figures roaming the halls of the hotel and casino as well as in the elevators and the stairs.

My final stop on the haunted Vegas tour brings me to the Stratosphere Tower which you can also find on Las Vegas Boulevard. Unfortunately four people have taken their lives here by leaping off the 1100 foot tower. The last known suicide took place in 2006. Apparitions have since been sighted by the escalators that are near the elevator when entering the Stratosphere.
