One is by talking to them directly by asking several questions and pausing for an answer. You can record this and play it back later to see if the spirit gave you any answers. You can also speak to the spirit and ask him or her to make sounds such as knocking on a door for a yes answer or knocking on a wall for a no answer.

If you still need an alternative method, you can always hold a seance in your haunted house. Make your wishes exactly known to the ghost. Don’t expect your ghost to know what you want. Tell the spirit how important it is to move on to the next dimension and how happy they could be in the afterlife.

If all other means do not work, you can try to advertise your home as that haunted house. You would be surprised how many people are interested in the supernatural and paranormal along with things of the macabre nature. They could be seeking out this kind of residence and your haunted house might just fit the bill!
